The Business magazine has published a top list of the most innovative enterprises in the agricultural sector of Ukraine, which makes up the lion's share of Ukraine's exports and is rapidly moving towards the food processing.
The Avis poultry complex of AVANGARDCO IPL, one of the largest agro-industrial companies in Ukraine, which belongs to the Ukrainian businessman Oleg Bakhmatyuk, was included to the short-list.
Avis is the largest egg farm in Ukraine. The complex has a full shell egg production cycle - a rearing site, an industrial site and an egg grading and packing facility. AVANGARDCO IPL has built the complex from the scratch in 2013. The complex was built in accordance with the best and most modern construction and agricultural practices. Poultry houses at the Avis poultry complex are equipped with automated feed and water supply, manure disposal and climate control systems. The use of modern technologies allows the complex to produce a large number of high-quality and safe shell eggs, while taking care of both natural resources and welfare of poultry flock.
Avis produces shell eggs under the Kvochka brand. Shell eggs produced at the Avis poultry complex are eligible for the export to the European Union and comply with the Halal requirements. Its food safety management system is certified to ISO 22000:2005. The enterprise also has a developed logistic system which allows it to deliver shell eggs to consumers in an efficient and timely manner.
In addition, AVANGARDCO IPL owns and operates its own modern hatcheries, where all the parameters such as humidity and air temperature are controlled by artificial intelligence. The company is committed to environmentally friendly business practices and uses the various treatment facilities from Nijhuis Industries – one of the leading companies within sustainable water use & resource recovery solutions. The company together with the State Soil Protection Institute of Ukraine develops new methods of composting to get waste-free production.
In order to safely dispose of chicken manure, AVANGARDCO IPL has built a biogas plant at its Chornobaivske poultry complex. The biogas plant processes chicken manure into dry and liquid fertilisers and green electricity.
